Try RX7.com for some performance parts. I don't know of many FD performance parts sellers but I think cork sports sells some things for FD's. For mods start with a full tune up and go from there, like a full exhaust, dp, just your basic mods unless you're heavy into performance, then I'd suggest you try talking to some people that have heavily modded FD's and see how well they hold up.

i dont think driving a powerfull car once under your uncle's supervision has given you enough maturity and experience to be on your own in an rx7.
first you are uninformed,
there wer no Type R in 93 and FDs are all twinturbo from the factory.
second, you are in a dream, and this post's objective is to pop your bubble, so you'll know better what you need more than what you want.
third, FDs are very picky car, if you dont respect them, they will kill you, or die on you, then it will cost you alot of money, or even your life. these are not fat ass american muscle car, push em a bit over their limit and you'll end up eating grass in the ditch, they are not forgiving any error the driver would do, since they are made with the spirit of a racecar.
4th, you gotta maintain the car, and you cant play with a 13b like you'd play with an SR20DET. you cant even throw away the cats on a stock car because you'll blow the engine. they cost alot to modify because the way the ecu calculate the air/fuel ratio and operate the emission stuff is very basic and it doesnt allow much tweaking. you gotta know what to do otherwise you'll spend more money on rebuilts than you will on mods.
5th these are cars that cost alot to buy, to maintain, to mod, to insure, to have someone tune them and to repair. if you need help from your father and uncle to simply buy the damn car, YOU DONT HAVE ENOUGH MONEY TO DRIVE THE CAR. dont forget these are 11 y-o piece of steel, they are very beautiful car, but like beautiful bitches, they have expensive taste and tend to be very bitchy when you skip a date.
i understand that you've got a dream, and bla bla bla, its the car you want, bla bla bla, you dont have problems getting the money or whatever, bla bla bla, you'll work on the car, bla bla bla... its not the car you want to learn to drive in, period. if you dont want to follow these advice, you'll learn the hardway what 14k$ worth of excitement is worth when it ends up in a concrete wall.

TypeR.. i was just about to flag that also. I don't remember Type Rs in 1993. You should take that off your sig before you misform other noobs.
I'd start with an FC first. If you really want turbo, then get a TII. An FD for a first car is a very scary idea. Derelic is right about the maintanence and repairs. Whatever the condition, price, or age the RX7 you're getting, I would add at least a good $5000 on top of it to have it run in a condition you wouldn't have to worry whatsoever about.
RX7s are picky cars. Do one little thing wrong today, its a very big thing tomorrow.
I advice strongly against it but hell its your dads' money. If it takes $20,000 or $30,000 for you to learn, then be my guest. There are plenty of performance shops all over the US. Check online or the RX7club forums.

"they are very beautiful car, but like beautiful bitches, they have expensive taste and tend to be very bitchy when you skip a date."
I love that!! ^^^^^^
but he's true , you should just gen an n/a fc to start with them move up.

thnx for the info but i dont really understand why people always gota be like that i mean wow i cant really ever get any postitve response i get what yur saying everyone always tells me to get a fwd car and learn to drive that and then get bigger...i get the way that werks and everything but if i want a rwd car shldnt i learn to drive a rwd car...im not a fast and the furious go out and get into illegal street racing groups and speed everyday and everytime i drive i just love the body style and engine design of the rx7 and i want it because i want tomod it out and trick it...its not like im goign to be a hard core street racer in it...sure im going to drive fast once in a while but everyone always tells me im going to crash or die or damn...its just not the best advice to give out... and i never really asked for opinions of different cars i asked for mods...mods...mods... because im still gettin the hang of cars... im not a expert on the subject but i kno a fair share everyone whos an expert at something was once an amateur. i love the car and i also have respect for it. That includes taking care of it and not bla bla bla, i was really looking for positive advice and not this oh yur guna crash and you dont kno what your doing and yur dads money this and yur dads money that who said its guan b my dads money shyt, mayb learn sumthing about my situation before saying shyt you dont kno anything about... i have to pay for my car bymyself... so mayb i will get the rx7 and mayb i wont all depends on how much money -I- have at the time and what my decision turns out to be. ive collected info on afew different cars that i would like to get like the 240sx s-14 and the Acura integra and possibly the evo VIII. which would b a long shot anyways but i mean just give the info that is asked and nto all this side note shyt that isnt really cared about im not trying to dis or disrupt im just trying to give u sum advice and just stick to the forums question if i asked you how i would learn to drive then i would care whawt u had to say on the matter but if i didnt then dont talk, so back to my question can i get sum modification tips on the rx7 plz
