My son has a Jetta that he sold to a friend & repo'd for non-payment. When the car came back it had either sugar or soda in the gas tank. I believe we've gotten the system clean up to the injectors but can't get anything through them. I cleaned the pump by putting it in a bucket of hot water & soaking it, then running it until I got good flow. I then flushed the water out with WD40. It appears to be building enough pressure at the regulator. Can anyone tell me the voltage level supplied to the injectors as I plan on attempting to flush them with hot water also. Thanks.

Voltage to the injectors is battery voltage, the pcm supplies the ground to actuate the injectors, im not sure that soaking the injectors in water would be a good way to clean them and I wouldn't recommend having them held open continuously (actuated). You can have injectors cleaned utrasonically but I'm not sure where to get that done. You should check the fuel pressure to the rail and check the spray pattern on the injectors, should be a wide spead pulsating mist. Also after checking the spray pattern let the injectors sit and observe any leakage. Refer to factory manual for further explanation.

Thanks for the info. I'll look into having them cleaned.
