i always forget to ask this question....what is the normal operating temperature of a 4g63? my water temp gauge reads 200 - 210F when my car is completely warmed up...is that normal?

also...i notice sometimes when i'm coming up to a stop, put the clutch in, and stick it in first (with the clutch still in), my car kind of stutters...the rpm's stay still at around 1k, but it feels like the car is jerking a bit...you know what it feels like when your car lurches on a stall? kind of feels like it's doing that...what could that be?

i pretty shure that temp is normal, because if i remeber right 95gsx racer said that his temp went up to like 210 after he had the big sbr fmic put on and he said that it rasied like 2º from stock i think it was.

thats sounds like normal temp.

as for the clutch it sounds like your clutch isnt releasing completly. does the car pull forward at all? check your clutch fluid.

you may just need to adjust your clutch. my gs was doin that and after i adjusted the clutch it ran alot smoother... just my :2cents:

yeah when you have it in first gear with the clutch in all the way. your clutch isnt disingaging all the way.

i figured if the clutch wasn't disengaging completely, my rpms would drop off some, but they dont...i do need a new slave cylinder and i'll try adjusting it

thanks for the help

how new is your clutch master cylinder. most of the time if your slave is going so is the master. that could be part of the problem as well.

master and slave were both replaced at the same time, around 20,000miles ago or so...

check both the master and slave again just to make sure they aren't leaking. top of the clutch resiveor (sp?) and adjust the clutch. that should take care of it.
