Hello,
I recently purchased a 91 2600i 4x4 with a broken pass side outer CV joint. My question involves removal of the flange hub. Chiltons is less than thorough in descriptions. Has anyone done this previously? Any help would be appreciated.

Hey what's up,
replacing the halfshafts is a piece of cake. Chiltons' process is exessive, it has you removing all kinds of crap, it's simply unecessary. After doing the passanger side for the first time, the drivers side only took me 45 minutes start to finish. At first it is a little intimidating but don't fret, just get in there and you'll figure it out.
I didn't believe my freind at first but it is not even necessary to remove the upper and lower ball joints in order to remove the hub and make room; you just have to mess around with it 'til it goes in. Check out this website: http://forums.vmag.com/ptbseries/index.html
the first thread is a detailed instruction of the process, disregard his comments about the auto hubs being a problem, he doesn't know what he's talking about. give me a call or write me an email if you have any problems,
Luke
