Ok I have a 95 GS. I am planing on turboing it. I am in the process of building a kit(planing). I want to get this turbo set up going and then after I get the kit all working I will be starting to build a whole new motor.
First my oil pan right now is all fucked up,and I need a new one. I think I remember reading how you can use a 4g63 pan. And I am planing on getting a new one soon and I dont want to put it on then have to take it off to drill a tap out holes. Can I use the 4g63 pan in the first place? If so can I put it on now and block it off some how?
The manifold is my biggest concern. I dont have acess to a mig welder(just alittle hobby welder). I dont want to spend lots on the dam thing. Is their anyone out their becides Jake(he seems busy these days) that can make me one in a few months?
I have been looking around at DSMtrader and the DSM Tuners Classifieds and have found the these prices.
ARP HEAD STUDS 95
SMIC 50
Stock Turbo fuel pump 15
1g BOV 50
14b Turbo 100
1G Turbo Exhaust Manifold 15
SAFC-II 260
A-Pillar duel A/F,Boost 140
MBC 16
Stock 450cc Fuel injectors 60
Stock GST exhaust downpipe back 100
Fuel pump rewire kit 28
I still need my oil lines, IC piping and a stock 420a manifold and the welding stuff. Anything else I am missing?
I will also be needing a new tranny. Can I use a 5 speed neon tranny and swap the bellhousing? Should I even do that(different gear ratio's)?
When I do my rebuild I want to get a new block bored over .02 and get a bottem end rebuild kit from howel. As for the head I keep seeing them with 3 angle head jobs. How much better is that then stock?
Am I on the right track or just a newb?

Few things to note. I would go with the 2g exh. manifold instead of the 1g because of the better flow characteristics and less prone to cracking. Also, make sure to get the 2g fuel pump because it's slightly better than the 1g. Lastly, I wouldn't recommend using the stock turbo downpipe, as it actually necks down to 1 7/8", IIRC - it's a POS.
For some good info, check out this forum (if you haven't already) on tuners that is nothing but N/T to turbo conversion - http://www.dsmtuners.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=28

looks like your on the right track. i dont know where you live but around here you can usually rent welding equipment from welding supply shops (or they can tell you a place that rents it)
one part you dont have on your list is a turbo fuel pressure regulator. you need one so that you fuel pressure goes up as boost increases
another site to look at is 2gnt.com

The 1g manifold will bolt up to the 14b the same as the 2g manifold.
