Machinists

I was talking to my machinist, getting a price for polishing my intake, and the topic of more power came up.He started dreaming up a few ideas of things i could do.He wants me to put a 400 crank in my 350 engine.as a matter of fact,my motor is in my floor dismantled, and will be at my machinists getting modified to support the the 400 crank as early as the next few weeks.Im debating on bumping it up to a 060,but im afraid to do that because as long as its 040,i have room for a rebuild. If i Drill it out to a 60 over, the block will no longer be applicable for a rebuild.the engine as it sits has less than 3000 miles on the 040 rebuild. Its so fresh i was going to leave the pistons and rods alone(no signs of wear, wrist pins are sill tight)and just put them back in the block upon its return, rings and all.He said it will make more power per rpm's,but the engine will be more sensative to high rpm related damage .My cam seems to really wake up at 3000 rpm.I was wondering will this crank make it acumulate power slower at the bottom of second and third?Or will the improved low end torque of 400 crankshaft help the cam work its way to its power band?its been my experience that 400's have slower rev characteristics.
