LMAO, I havent seen that happen since my 73 Nova. Badass. I would leave it the way it is for the cool factor. As to what can cause that on a NT DSM, no idea. But the usual suspect is a bunch of carbon depsoited in the combustion chamber acting as a glow plug.

see...and the real funny thing is...is that i thought it had to have a carb instead of fuel injectors to diesel like that...but if your right this is just perfect that means we have to rip off the head and clean out the cylinders

try changing the spark plugs first. and run some top engine cleaner, it comes in a couple different forms but you basicly hook a hose in the bottle and hook the hose to a major vac line (brake booster) then let it sit running till half the bottle's gone, turn it it off waitr 15 minutes, start it up again, rev the gas and it will smoke like hell for a while (the more smoke the dirtier your engine was then drive it for awhile and you should feel a difference.
the cleaner we use where i work is made by Petro chemicals and its just called top engine cleaner.

Thats a good point, when you shut the car off, the ECU should kill the injectors. Hmm. I know on turbo cars the ECU doesnt actually shut off for 8 seconds after you turn the key off. I wonder if the injectors/CAS etc are still enabled during that time. I have no idea, good luck with this one :D

yea but what if the heads are hot enough that its causing access fuel to ignite after the car is shut off. b/c i know things like a dirty air filter could make the ECU force more fuel into the cylinders...im thinking about maybe the throttle body isnt closing all the way or something of the sorts. if you find any ifo from ppl or online i would really appreciate it

2 things to keep in mind. 1 That is EXTREMELY BAD for a car it can f*ck up timing, bend valves, etc. 2nd that usually happens when your running too rich and the excess gas in the chamber needs to burn. Check your plugs like 1stGenRocks said.

:iagree: plugs first...then the hard stuff, but act quick becuase this could lead to engine damage.

the funny thing is about all this...i bet none of you can guess how long this has been going on and theirs still no engine damage that i know of...when we went to go change the plugs we notices oil around the plug...uh oh??
