Both Directional Indicators come on w/Parking Light Switch

And another Jeep newbie takes the plunge...(That guy is right, they're (re)built, not bought...)
When I pull the Parking/Headlight switch, I get those lights, but the Directional Indicators (Yeah, the little green arrows) come on too (No, they don't blink, they just stare)...
Prior, general auto repair experience tells me I have a bad ground and that system is grounding through the Signals...
Anyone care to venture a guess as to where I start spelunking to find the bad ground for the Park/Headlight system or shatter any misconception I may be incorrectly operating under?
Thanks!
Stephen

Do the turn signals still work OK? Do you get the arrows lit when turning on only the parking lights or on both positions?
Did you just buy this Jeep and now spotted this or has it been OK until now?

Thanks for the interest, Saudade... I've had the vehicle for about two months and am at the tail end of making it road worthy. It has not yet functioned as my primary transportation.
The pass turn signal worked fine from the gitgo. The driver's side signal did not,(Light on in back, no light in front) and initially, showed an open on the ground prong and continuous to ground on the Park and Turn prongs internally on the bulb socket, Driver's side front.
I took the harness apart (right behind the driver's side headlight) cleaned all the dried out lithium grease and put a light probe on the female side of the harnass, with lights on, to map the harnass. Once I snapped the harnass back together, the signals would come on (both sides, front and rear) but wouldn't blink. I put the four way blinker into the directional blinker socket but never switched it back or replaced (yet) the directional blinker unit.
I still have to determine why the parking lights on both sides don't work, I think there's something going on with that harnass, but because the vehicle is at a service house now getting NJ State inspected, I don;t have it here to tinker with...(That's been the path to roadworthy, an hour or so a night after work...)

Check under the Air Box depends on what year you have. There is a Harness connection under the box that corrodes. Had problems on my 93 XJ.
