sup guys. my system makes my car rattle like hell even at medium volume. i've heard about that dynamat crap, but im not quite sure as to how i put it in and if it really works. my car rattles a lot, im talking about the rear bumper, hatch, and even the sides of the car right behind the doors (i have a 2-door), not to mention all the rattling inside the car. its real annoying and i wanted to fix it, so i was wondering if anyone had any tricks or anything to fix it for cheap. plz let me know, thanks a lot.

well, on any panels that clip in, take them off and put foam in small layers behind them and clip them back in and if it still rattles take it off and add another small layer. just enough to where it is tough to get them to clip in, when it is a hard push, and that should take care of panels. anything else that rattles, like the hatrch lid, if it is the lid rattling liike the whole thing shakes, thicketr weatherstripppuing, but if it is just part of it dynamat it, and it has adhesive on one side, stick it on and i think some makes of it use heat too.

put dynamat either all over the trunk lid or just the areas where it closes to help it stop from rattling.;)

yeah, also though, sometimes it is wiring that makes lots of unpleasant noises, on my car behind the panels in the trunk, the harnesses were always rattling and hitting the metal, just wrap rags around them and put the panel back on and it fixes the wire rpoblem.

try running in the hatch area like the previous suggestions but also wrap teh box in dynamat. Check to make sure it isnt ur spare, jackstand, or anyother tools you may have back there.

how much wattage are you running? I have about 700 watts pushing 2 12's and no rattling whatsoever. when my subs were facing the back of the car, it did rattle some. when i faced the subs toward the front, it was cleaner.

try facing them toward the front of the car if they arent already. that might help the rattling in the hatch and the bumper maybe.

I had 1200 watts and 2 12's in a ported box in my mustang and it rattled so so so much, in my teg i only got like 400 watts and 2 10's but I still think it wouldhnt be that loud in the teg with that system, my friend has a system so loud with 2 JL 12W3's and I dont know what amp but iyt is so loud and not that much rattles, hondas are mad so much tighter than fords, also, if you face it forward, does the seats muffle any sound waves or not?

no, i think it sounds cleaner. when it was facing the back of my car, it was rougher and the car shook more. i guess cause the waves were directed to the frame of the car.

do you think it would matter what way i faced my 4 kicker comp vr 12's? j/k it doesnt matter what way a face them. my car shakes reguardless of where the subs are facing.
