ok i have another question. And like i said before i dont know much bout cars so i'm sorry if the questions i'm asking are dumb.
1. what is a ricer/rice?
2. can a cold air intake be put on an automaic?
and
3. Isn't turbo kinda the same thing as a cold air intake?
Yes, yes, i know, i'm a retard and deserve to die

well a ricer is someone who mods the high hell out of a cheap import car, like nitrous, lambo doors and da works. Dont wory because I never realy understood that term eaither because that is what I believe you should do to a car like that. And a turbo is nothing like a cold air intake, a cold air intake cools your engine down faster for you can push it harder, and a turbo brings up your rpm's faster so you can get to the higher gears faster. "Or at least that is how I think it works."

Here I knew I got that wrong about the turbo and cold air intake go to- http://auto.howstuffworks.com/turbo3.htm
and-
well could not find anything on the cold air intake but you got the point.

rice= a mod that serves no real purpose.. like a big aluminum wing on a civic... (doesnt need to be there)
or
a huge 4in+ muffler on a car that doesnt have a turbo set up.. no need for that big of a muffler... let alone teh whole exhaust set up
a ricer is someone who thinks they are teh shit.. thinks their car is fast and isnt...
a turbo is not a cold air intake.. a turbo is a whole set up...
turbos spool up from the air taken in... and get pushed through teh exhaust... turbos gain power from teh air that they push out the exhaust....
super chargers work from the air that gets taken in

But I like those big wings. well not the aluminum ones but the carbon fiber ones though. and big exaust systems sound great to. that is if they serve a purpose like if you have a turbo or nitrous oxide setup.

if teh wing doesnt fit the kit/ car... alota people wont liek it....
and no car needs a big ass exhaust system.. most turbo'd cars run 3-3.5in ... modestly

a turbo and super are the same except for where they get power from. both pressurize air and jam it into the engine.
a turbo is mounted on the exhaust manifold, and uses the pressure the exploded gases give to spin a turbine, which spins a compressor whel one the other side. the compressor wheel sucks in air, pressurizes it, and then pushes it up back into the engine.
a supercharger does the same thing except its driven by the crankshaft of the engine. the crankshaft spins a belt, which spins the compressor on the supercharger.
