Ok I know its a stupid question BUT! I have a 2000 s10 and the screw holding the cable to the post corroded and broke in half. Half in the Batterry and half on the cable. Is there a trick to getting the screw out of the cable??????

if you work at the bolt with a chisel and spray lube you can walk it out and save the battery. the depth of it is just about a 1/2". be patient and you can do it. if not the only other option is new battery, you cannot drill and tap this out its to shallow and made of soft metal

to get the screw out of the cable try putting it in a socket that it fits nicely inside... but not the cable, then use a punch and hammer to just tap the screw out.
As for the battery and this is just a thought. How about a using a q-tip with some sort of grease on to rub greese on the threads only then use a hot glue gun to see if it'll stick on the remaining screw... then back out the glue stick
