I have an old truck that has no power and needs work but have no time to do it. i am getting a new one. i was generally browsing and found an 1985 mazda rx-7. it looks hot. and it has a rotary engine from Hayes. from what i've read, rotary's are reliable and fun to drive with a 5spd manual.
I am hoping to get some feedback to a "virgin" on roatry engines to see if it would be worth buying it. i any info would be great, as in; maintaning costs, what needs to be replaces, how long the engines last, etc.
thanks

It is a carburetor. not sure what barrel though. well are carbs the same for rotary or piston engines?

what you've got is a 4 barrel nikki carb on a 1146cc (70 c.i.) engine commonly called a 12a. 100 stock horspower and almostthe same amount of torque
and yes, these are reliable.
