confuesed ...cam-to-crank timing???

ok one of you guys told me to check my cam-to-crank timing, so i took off my timing belt cover and lined my crank pully to the groove on the lower timing belt cover then checked my cam gear (pic below) i think some how the cam is unsidedown?? i just put this motor in so theres many kinks i over looked i guess :banghead: sorry i dont have a digital camera at this time, so i did the best i can in "paint". i hope you understand my question!
