ok so im looking into buying or making a turbo kit for my 96 cavalier 2.2l. i was wondering if i were to make it myself what kind of money would i be looking into and what kind of parts do i need. also would it be worth doing it myself consitering i have the time?

if you dont know how to build a turbo, you have no business putting one on or using it. Theirs a ton more than just slapping a turbo on it. If you dont know much about engines id go a different route or car. The 2.2L isnt a very reliable engine in the first place, its not worth spending the time and money on a turbo, just buy a better car.
