Is it easy to get hydrolock when you have a cold air intake, or do you have to be driving around in the rain for hours, or what?
Im asking this because i cant decide what style intake I want to get for my car. Thanks

from what i have heard you almost have to have the hole cone or intake submerged to hydrolock

Haven't seen this question for about a month.. new record.
Get the cai. It won't damage your engine unless you totally submerge it in a huge pond-puddle.

No problems with mine either. I have the AEM V2, which is pretty good, but if you go with that, the bypass is NOT compatible with it.

the v2 uses to differnet pipe sizes though, right? so, theoreticly it would be harder/impossible for water to get all the way in wouldnt it?

Yes, it has 2 different pipes in it. It would have to be a DEEP puddle indeedy my friend.

Back in 1999 I drove through Hurricane Floyd total of almost 20 hours in complete downpours and no problems. As people said you have to submerge the whole intake filter and pipe in water in order to suck up water.

Heres my custom cai/short ram intake with my version of a bypass valve ;) This was my first set-up... My setup I have right now is crazier, and more efficient.

Silverbolt, just because I am curious, let's see a picture of your new set-up if you have a pic.
