I'd take the piping off and clean it. Make sure it's very dry before you put it back on - water and motors don't mix. Also, is the filter new or used? Might want to clean the filter if it's used.

Also, re-check your fitting and clamps. Make sure the couplers are securely on the throttlebody and piping and clamped well. And don't forget to attach the breather hose from the valve cover to the inlet on the side of the intake pipe - that's part of the PCV system.

Once all is well, go into your fuse box in the engine bay next to the battery and yank the ECU fuse and leave it out for about ten minutes. This resets the ECU. Then put the fuse back in and start the car up and let it run without any load until the engine fan turns on. Don't rev the motor or anything. Just turn it on and let it run - usually the rpm's will stay up a bit like it is warming up around 2k or there about. Turn the car off after the fan turns on. This will adjust the ECU air/fuel tables for the differences you have with the intake installed instead of the stock airbox. When you start the car up again you can drive normally.

Hope this helps clear up your installation and CEL. :)
