Transmition Flush

Has anyone did a transmition Flush On there GP the shop wants $150 I heard of people doing it on other cars. if anyone has done it can they get me some directions to it. or am I better of paying the $150.

Don't do it especially if the car has high miles. You will create more problems than it is worth and may possibly cause the transmission to fail. Change the fluid and filter and don't worry about the flush.

do you have directions on how to do this or can I just read the manual and it will tell me what to do, also what kind of parts would I need like any kind of gaskets or anything I know I need a filter and tranny fluid is that it? thanks

When you buy the filter kit it comes with a trans pan gasket. All you need to do the job is a set of jack stands or ramps, a set of wrenches/sockets, a pan to catch the fluid, a scraper to remove the old gasket, and new fluid. It will take you a couple of hours if you have never done the job before. Just make sure you get the gasket on right our you could have a leak. Also make sure you clean the junk out of the pan. I use brake cleaner and allow it to dry completely, carb cleaner will also work. Just make sure it dries completely. You may also want to get some gasket cement to hold the gasket in place. I used blue RTV gasket material on mine when I changed it, I hate to fool with those gaskets from the kit. Good Luck!
