Headlight high beam problem

Whenever I switch to high beam, the headlights go out completely. The high beams still work when I pull back on the switch (you know, the feature that allows you to quickly flash someone). At first this problem was intermittent, but now I cannot get the high beams to come on at all. I was thinking this might be a relay problem, but the only headlight relay I can find is in the fuse box in the engine compartment and it appears to be good. Before I tear into the steering column, I thought I would try to get some advice. Would appreciate any help I can get on this. I have a 1994 T100 standard cab with the 3.0L V6 engine and manual transmission. Thanks to anyone who can help.

I hope you get some answers. I'm having the EXACT same problem with a 95 T100. I'll wait to see before I post the same thing.
thanks,

I finally found a solution. I soaked the switch with WD40 three times. Used an old towel underneath to catch the runoff. By that evening the switch still did not work. However, when I drove the truck the next morning, it finally started working. My thinking is that the lubricant that Toyota uses in these switches hardens with age and it takes quite a bit to loosen it. I hope this helps and works for you.
