I was just curious what your rpm's are in 5th at let's say around 80mph.

I've recently done the h23a to jdm h22a swap (but with the h23a's transmission) and everything is finally working great, including vtec kicking in at 5grand, however I think my rpms are reading somewhat high for highway driving... since i don't know what is normal for 80mph it would really help...

I am using H23A tranny with the H22A right now too, and yes they are fairly high. Final gear ratio for H22A and H23A trannys are closely the same, so both gearing with get you some ridiculous highway cruising RPM. I think my 60 is around 3.5k rpm on 5th.

thanks aceshigh, i believe i'm in a similar range between 3 - 4g rpm from 60mph - 80mph - just seemed a little high, was wondering if it was even possible to reach top speed before redline... haha i'll have to try someday ((:...or not.
