87 nova engine/tranny swap...possible?

hi all. I'm the not-exactly-proud,but it was free, owner of a 1987 chevrolet nova. As far as I understand, this thing has a 4alc engine in it, but the fact of the matter is that i cant find out a damn thing about it! I cant find the firing order ANYWHERE! Not even in the haynes! (If you know it plzzzzz post it! ive googled it everyday for like 6 mo.s...)
This is my big question(s).
What is this thing? I guess, actually...can i swap a 20v blacktop 4age into it? It's also an automatic...could i swap out a corolla tranny into the chevy? I wouldnt have to cut it...i dont think...
Wouldnt this car make an awesome sleeper? I need help. Hmm...if no one can help me...ill gladly sell the beautiful...uhhh...coool...chick-magnet (okay...that's pushing it to far..). Anyways...plzzz help me!!!
