Please Help

Hey everyone ...I am thinkin bout getting a bike. My buddy is going to be selling his Kawasaki ZX6R i think it is, 2001, with 18,000 miles. Now the mileage sounds high, but would it be worth the 3 grand he wants for it? I don't know how long the motors on these go for and i want a bike to have.......even though my uncles CBR 1100XX Blackbird was fun to go on this summer......

So yeah can anyone give me some advice about this on whether 18,000 on a 2001 is to much or is it worth it for me for a 1st bike............forgot to say it has some extras on it too........Chrome Rims, polished frame.........and smoked headlights

The mileage isn't a big deal at all if it's been cared for. New engines will go well over 50k with regular oil changes and maintenance. Price doesn't sound out of line if it's in good shape.

yeah deff.............it has a nice like orange paint job Chrome rims and polished frame..........saw a few pics and it looks sweet.......i really want to try and get it i mean its a FL bike so it hasn't seen bad weather.........I'm just worried bout the 18,000 miles on a 2001 i don't want my fist bike to shit the bed......

Justin, why is the bike painted? Did it go down? I refuse to buy any bike with a "custom" paint job... it is all too often "covering" a giant "boo-boo"... Just a thought...

plus 18k in 3 yrs damn thats alot of wear and tear the main thing were they highway or city? that makes a big differance
