freaked out speedo

I have a 95 GLS, my speedometer needle sometimes bounces all over or just does'nt work. The "brake" and "coolant" also lights flash intermittantly! Has anyone had to deal with these problems?

The spedometer problem sounds like a bad vehicle speed sensor or sensor drive gear on the transmission. But, if the other lights flash and the speedo acts always at the same time it may be an internal gauge cluster problem.
