Does anyonew know if strut failure can cause tire failure - premature wear? Also, what is the recommended mileage interval for strut replacement?

When struts are done for they will wear your tires prematurely, indeed. I don't know what the exact interval for strut replacement is. I heard of people who have replaced their struts as early as 75,000 miles. When I had my 1995 Intrepid I replaced the rear struts at 153,000 miles and the front struts at 172,000 miles, so I'd say they lasted pretty long. In my estimation I'd say that struts probably should last at least 100,000 miles, but that's just a guess. Strut replacement can be expensive, so keep that in mind, unless you do it yourself :) .
