1981 Olds Ninety Eight Engine/Tranny SWap

Does anyone have any information on changing my engine and transmission in my Oldsmobile. I have a 1981 Ninety Eight Regency with a 307 engine and TH200 tranny. I would like to replace it with a 350 Chevy crate motor and 700R4 tranny. I also would like to use headers on the new powerplant. The car is listed by General Motors as a 'C' body so the headers will have to fit along those lines. Any ideas, books, tech sheets and technical personnel will greatly be appreciated. Ressurecting a very old thread. You can swap in a Chevy motor, but the 700R4 trans will require mods to the transmission crossmember. The best resource I have seen on doing this kind of work is a book called Chevy TPI/TBI Engine Swapping, it covers every detail you need to know.

I once retrofitted throttle body injection (TBI) onto a stock Olds 307. At the time I was not aware of anyone who had ever tried this, but I believe you can get parts and kits these days to make this sort of thing much easier.
