1998 3.1 missing-

My first post. My engine started missing when in a pull (up hill or long grade) It has 70,000 miles, so replaced plugs and wires. It still has that slight miss in it. Checked and no codes show. I also ran injecters cleaner in fuel, no help there either.

The computer would detect a missfire. 70,000-prime time for a TCC solenoid, this will cause a funny kinda miss/funky chicken thing to happen.

Thanks for the reply. I had it in back of my mine that the lock-up could be it. Is that a shop job or pull and plug thing? :confused:

About $400 at a shop. The Valve Body cover needs to be removed. This involves removing the CV joint, which mees it takes a little time. Done at home it usually takes about 3 hours. The solenoid itself if usually about $50 at Autozone. Good Luck.
