im thinking cut it out and mold a body kit over it. stops all future rust, and easier than repairing the [total lack of] sheet metal.

sand it down as best as you can than put some rustmort over it.Rustmort is a luquid rust reinforcement that turns rust soild, than get some tiger hair than bondo it up.

ya, I have the same thing on my hatch, but not quite as bad and seems more rotted.....what I did as a temporary measure is cut out all the old rust and fill the gaps with self expanding foam, its something you can fiberglass or bondo over, and seals up the car (kind of)....

I went the pricey way with my rex, had the rust blasted right off then all the metal was rewelded on. Expensive, but its on its way into is second winter since and its in perfect shape, the work was flawless.

Not worth the money still.

Thats what im going to do on sat. and sun. My rust isnt that bad though so i think im going to just sand it bondo it and touch it up for the winter and paint it next spring.

they work now, earlyer they didnt. Cut it out and weld in a replacment piece. Rocker Panels are a structural piece in unibody cars.

i was going tto weld in some shit, but I really dont think i can bend the same curve. Maybe a straight piece for strength, then either a body kit or the foam/fiberglass method for looks?

just do a search for patch pannels, replacment rocker panels , factory sheet metal, stuff like that. Theres many companys that specialize in just that.
