The Zexel's supposed to be a group N...

In my search on the web I found that there were really little racing skylines in original state, either the rims, either some details like the two holes (which are a group A feature) were there, or just other rearview mirror.

But hey, there are also some skylines that have been "racerised" for either entusiasts or even some fakes that reside in musea...

Depends on how you really want to build it, but I think the best is to just build it according to instructions and add detail to it, according to the reference pictures, it could be that the holes are added later...

For the Tamiya kit you have to cut the bumper holes out and insert the supplied intercooler ducts. If you look on the back side of the bumper it shows the template for cutting. This is because the Tamiya R32 body is shared between the stock and race versions.

Something I've learned in my model railroading days: kits are usually an average of what cars looked like. This way, they can put different decals on it and have different versions. There may be models of cars from a specific race, but keep in mind that the prototype will change race to race. Often, especially in Tamiya kits, it will say which race this car is decorated and detailed for, and for other races you'll have to change it. This sucks for modellers, because there isn't anywhere a race-by-race catologue of detailed pics of racecars. Someone should make that. Please?
