question about smog checks

how often do u have to do a smog check???

every 2 yrs. i had to do mine this year because its a 98 and 2004 is one of those years. good thing too, i got yanked by hwy patrol and had a hood check the day after i got it smogged, so my stock header was on. Got my fix it ticket signed off for front license plate and put my header on hehe

ehh so u gotta put all ur stock parts back on when u do the smog check

depends on what state you are in. In New York we have to pass emissions every year at the same time as safety inspection.

i live in California and the rules are pretty strict over here...so what are some factors that makes u fail a smog test?
