 Hello everybody, I have another question, will an Edelbrock RPM Air-Gap intake manifold and an Edelbrock Performer 750cmf carb, with the air cleaner on top, fit under my hood? I have an 84 vette, but I dont know if its going to fit, or if I have to make a hole on it and get a metal street scoop, or get one of those bond-on fiberglass scoops, or the high rise hood, I saw that one for sale, it looks pretty cool, high rise 84 -96 hoods, but the price is $1500. So, I dont know. Now, is that a good thing to do? to go from EFI to carb? thanks.

I personally dont understand why anyone would go from FI to Carb except for two reasons. They dont know anything about FI, and want to be able to tune their own car, or they are building a massive hp drag car that the factory FI system just wont keep up with.

For a daily driven street car, i always suggest leaving it FI for all the benifits it offers. If im not mistaken your 84 is a TBI or Crossfire system, neither of which is really known for its performance, but they both have potential. I would do some homework on the system you have, youll probly be surprised at what you can do with it, still pass sniffer tests and get good gas mileage out of it.
