was wondering if 215/40 18's will fit on my 92 civic 4 door without rubbing a WHOLE lot, i dont care about a little rub if the wheels cut alot but not a whole lot were i would only be able to drive the car str8. N i was wondering if because i have a 4 door does that mean my wheel base is a lil bigger than the coupe or hatchback? n alot of the import magazines lately on the very back page Nitto tire has an ad about the new 20 inch tire, n in the ad it says, "Nitto brings you a 20 inch tire designed specifically to fit your sports SEDAN..." If there saying its "specifically designed 4 sports sedan" is that because only the sedan can fit a 20 inch tire? Now im NOT going with the 20 inch, im just curious to know if a sedan can fit a bigger tire?
BTW im going with 215/40 R18 yokohama parada spec 2's n 18" Konig Absolute rims(gunmetal color) 4 lug (maybe future 5 lug conversion cause i got my eye on some nice expensive BBS wheels)

I think that in 18" wheels, you would need a 215/35 tire!! The 40 series would be a bit too tall!

i agree i do believe that 215/35 is the common series for 18's on a civic as for the slightly bigger wheel base i dont know
