got my header in the mail

i was waiting for this bad boy to come ... its finally here... once my Exhaust comes from japan ill be able to get this thing on with the exhaust making some noice, woohoo!!...

ill put it on when it comes , ill try and get a hold of the guy and see when it will be here, but supposedlt he shipped it out last friday, and from japan takes about a week or 2 ... ill post pics when its in.. :naughty:

i always says headers i used to correct my friend who bought a header for his car... but i dont know, its all headers to me lol....

about the header is a OBX racing header.. its a 2 1/2 inch i got it for about $165 on ebay with about $30 shipping , its brand new... dont know how it fits tho, will soon find out when ill get the exhaust...

the exhaust is a 5zigen yes the exhaust is a 3" catback... including my 3" cat pipe

its better to go 3" all the way, but then ofcourse you need the power to keep the back pressure in that 3" header and exhaust... i wasnt able to find the 3" header but honestly it doesnt matter to me right now, i only care about my cat and my cat back exhaust being 3" because i will be putting on a turbo sometime soon next year so it wouldnt be smart to buy a 2 1/2 exhaust and then change it to 3", ill kinda lose money.

For right now im just throwing this header on to scare the ricers away,
:p but really have a 2 1/2 into 3" is not a problem if you have the power to back it up.

If your car doesnt have 200hp then 3" exhaust is not a good idea because you will lose back pressure. Right now i dont have 200hp but since ill change the cams to add another 25hp or so, and throw some pulleys on there for more power , including the header intake exhaust and a few extra other mods i should be around 200-205 i hope... so i should be ok for now till i get a turbo , i cant wait :lol2:

I JUST GOT MY EXHAUST FROM JAPAN WOOHOO!! i thought it would be another week to get here and then bamm!! its here... so looks like ill be putting that header and exhaust on sooner than i thought... its a little dirty so i would have to clean it up and make it shiny before i put it on...

ohh and i just fnished cleaning it and its all super shiny... it has some scratches on the bottom since its been on a car before so it has seen some crubs i guess, but no biggies, ill take a $600+ exhaust for $200 why not...

patience my son!! :p ill give it a shot tomorrow and try to put it on ... i will have to get a gasket to where the muffle connects to the pipe that goes to the cat... ill probably have to make one somehow .. id have to ask my dad i bet he knows, he used to do it...

then ill try to find a site where i can upload my sound files and or vids of me driving :naughty: we will see how it sounds... wish me luck

Good luck....I so want a car....I think I'll get a JDM S13 though, only way to get an S13 without rust in Canada. (Except if you go to BC, but then an S13 is like 7000$ lol.)
