stock piping size

can some one tell me what the stock piping size would be on a 95 4 cylinder geo metro? i would search more but am on my way to work and need to know what size pipe reducer to buy to mak it attach to larger pipe. i just plan on a 2 inch or 2 1/4 inch pipe bent to exit out the side. probaly 20 dollars worth of parts. my car is mainly highway driven so most people won't notice. later . . . .

stock 3cyl is 1 3/8", so i believe the 4cyl would be no bigger than 1.5". If you're gonna go 2", you're gonna lose some low end torque, and gain a lot of noise at freeway speeds. But, the 4000+RPM range will be more powerful. Won't get any better gas mileage though. I would go with 1.5", maybe 1 3/4" at the biggest for a daily driver.

i could swear the piping is a 1 3/4 stock but i could be wrong.

Nah, stock piping looks like 1 3/4" cause it's double walled. It's 1 3/8 internally, and a second pipe surrounds it. Never understood why. It's still hot, and it's still loud. lol. And ty for the compliment :). Yea, a lot of other forums have stupid kids, and people who think they know cause "a buddy's older brother street races, and he said so" Some people just are too immature and too mis-informed to what to say or do, or even know when not to talk. AKA board flamers.

Here's the scoop on my semi stock 91 G10 powered skittle rocket (multi-coloured dream machine, looks like someone spilled a bag of skittles all over the driveway)
I had a busted off pipe, and plugged cat, and although I have a handful of parts cars, no good exhaust systems among them. So I took the best of the worst mufflers I had laying about, with 1 3/4" inlet and outlet, And then hogged out the stock reducer at the manifold, flared it a bit, and used 2" pipe from there right to the muffler. It is a bit buzzy, and true, you do lose a smidgen in the low end, but it pulls a lot better into the top end.
Just my little tidbit of useless info.
