Dose any one know why it takes a long time my suburban to heat up.
I just put in a new raditor and it takes a long time for me to feel heat. and when it starts to heat up it is not very hot. I owned a Ford F-150 and it took not laong to feel heat and it was hot at that.

Did you replace the thermostat the same time as the Rad. You might want to think about going to a 205* or 210* thermostat.

Lack of heat is usually one of two things.......low coolant or a stuck open thermostat. If it is stuck open it just lets the coolant keep circulating and not sit in the engine and get upto temp.
