i have one piece of advice for those wishing to run long-tubes with an automatic trans.... DON'T.
yes, i got my auto out and the manual in, but was a genuine nightmare. had both headers unbolted but the trans still got hung up on them. one oxygen sensor is trash and i think the headers are out of alignment a tad.
yet, it's done, the car is very drivable, just needs a little more tension on the clutch cable so i quit crashing into gears. i'm gonna hold out for that until i have a firewall adjuster. king cobra clutch works wonderfully, doesn't have all that much pedal effort etc.
one more pain in my ass... the vss broke on its way out of the AOD, so now i have to replace that as well.
quick overnight should solve all ills.
