Haven't been to the dyno since adding a few things, but I figure it's about close to 390-400 at the wheels at this point. It was about 370 before the Porting and Polish work.

V8? I definately don't need a V8 engine in my car. It's not worth the Insurance premiums. I'm not scared to race at a drag strip either, I'm not embarassed by the numbers my "little worthless v6" puts up on those big digital boards.

How many pounds of boost are you running? Could have got a older V8 payed less for insurence (then a newer one) and been faster.

Pushing about 135 HP, haven't dynoed, but I know it'll blow anything off the road. Power to weight ratio is what it's all about.

Drag strip, nahh, only real racers use the streets. 16 second car baby, can't top that. You don't want none of the Civ. LOL, sorry I'm just being a smart ass. One's a street legal 10 sec. car and the other a Pro import that's being replaced with a newer model with a V8. I want a door slammer that runs in the 6's. My old car only runs in the mid 7's.

Ah, my apologies for coming off the wrong way. I tend to be to the point and abbrasive, sometimes offensive. However, it isn't always intended for everyone. I saw a post where some people were trash talking V6 Mustangs, and it made my blood boil. Not all V6 mustangs are garbage, cars. Just like I'll be one to admit not all imports are garbage cars. A mustang is still a mustang, whether it's a V6 or a V8. Any car can be made to performance, it all depends on dedication and hard work.

I respect V8 Mustangs, but the V6 was obviously not made for racing. It's made for people who are about all show no go...and the first thing that comes to my mind is girls.

Can you list how much money you exactly put into that car, because I can take a 4 cylinder econobox that will beat you with less money spent and lower insurance rates (since you care about insurance rates so much)

Woohoo, Id love to reply to this, because Im pretty sure he is refering to me for bashing the v6 stangs.

I still hold strong. Any car can be made fast. There are geo metros out there that will make your car look like shit. The time and money you put into that 6, would have put alot more out on a 8. Am I saying that there are no fast v6s? NO. However I also say there ARE fast civics out there.

Seriously though, I am interested in seeing some timeslips/dyno runs. The car sounds mean, and it is. Prove to us your point, and If you want I can prove mine, but showing you some v8s that put out similar numbers/times with less commitment.

The true mustang heritage is in the 8. Disagree with me? Thats fine, to each thier own.

And if this was aimed at my comment towards anti-v6ism, Then id like to tell you that I am the proud owner of a 1999 Mustang GT. I also paid every dime that went towards that car myself. I also pay my gas and insurance. Im 17. And remember, Congrats on saving yourself insurance, but who really cares when it comes to a car you love?

I am also not against a v6, they make many bavarian and other import dreams. However In a car made for the 8, they dont belong, at least not in racing.
