I need help with o2 sensors

I own a 1996 thunderbird(v6-3.8L) and I changed the o2 sensors with bosh units 13117. I thought it was a good idea to replace the o2 sensors since I had 150,000 miles on the car. The upstream (passenger side bank) had a much longer lead so I had to splice/solder/heatshrink and wrap the old connector and lead. I scanned my system and everything was well and the car ran well for a couple of days.....Then the car started acting up! Bucking/surging and transmission slipping/disengageing. I almost flunked the last smog test because hydrocarbon levels were a bit high. I put the old sensors back and drained/rebooted the PCM and all the symptoms went away. Heh,I don't think my car liked the bosh! Can someone help me find the right sensors?

F5MF-9F472-b1b /upstream driver side

F5MF-9F472-DC /upstream passenger side-has much longer lead due to connector location (I can't find this one)

I wan't the right parts this time and I don't wan't to splice!
Has anyone else had PCM crashing problems using Bosh sensors?
Can anyone cross reference to borg warner units?

i just replaced mine with bosch 13127... no splicing necessary, but I think i have an electrical problem because i am still getting codes for that sensor. my car doesnt disengage, or buck, or even nuck... but i dont think that sensor is even being used yet.

I looked into the bosch 13127 and it appears to be a downstream sensor. I'm not sure you can use these in upstream applications since the voltage swing on downstream sensors are much lower.

....Anyways,Back to my own problems! I found Motorcraft sensors and they go for $150 each! The borg warner sensors are available through Kragen auto parts ,but the idiot working behind the counter couldn't cough up the right part numbers.

The bosch replacements are are 'Planar Wideband' sensors, and the ones I removed were Heated Thimble-type. I did notice during a scan that the output and frequency were much higher for the bosch units and is probably choking my PCM. Back to the OEM "Style" sensors for me! If anyone can find an online Borg warner parts catalog Please post the link!
