ever heard of the Dolphin? Tiff Needell at BBC's Top Gear tested it once... A stripped down Impreza with a bodykit from Dolphin... Lower weight, better handling/performance overall... Think it was an prototype, don't know if they ever started to build it... Real evil front, but the rear you could have nighmares about.. But as Mr. Nedell said: When you're having fun driving it, you can't see the rearend...

I like the older shape, it looks more 'rally' to me, and thats important.

I didn't like the new style at first, but after seeing it a couple times on the street actually in motion the design grew on me. Pix don't do that car any kind of justice.

Damn they are tight as hell ! I sure as hell wouldn't mind having the red one .

Wow, that red one is nice! I'd prefer the gold wheels on the third car, though. :D

They look better in person. Besides, there is a Prodrive kit that includes the rally type headlights, gold bbs wheels, a body kit and 5 more horsepower. I think it should be mandatory. Then dial up the boost, get a bigger intercooler, NOS, rip out 2 of the cats (leave one in, to be semi-environmentally-friendly), and all the other assorted stuff, and away you go. :flash:

Can someone tell me what kind of Suburu that red one actually is ? The year and what not ? is it available in the US ? I'm a newbie on theses cars so...yeah

red one is the older impreza... go to a dealership they are still around...
it is most likely a eurospec car that is a wrx with some nice add ons...

Any pre-2002 Impreza RS will be the red car. They have 165 hp from a 2.5L flat four, and none of the scoops are fuctional. IF you modded it, you could make them functional, though.

Big red is the tightest. Those rims are really tight.

Teh red ones wheels are nice, and I love the low profile rubber. THe worst part is the stick-on "eyelashes" over the lights and windshield. A cheap excuse for a new hood or a chop-job (remember when those were popular??? I don't)

the new impreza is hell a good looking car...sometimes i think it looks better than an evo 7...and i can say that with some changes of it bodykits the impreza will look crazier that other cars...:licker:

I saw a WRX today with a wing from the old STI, some really clean front under spoiler thingy, what looked like an FMIC (hard to tell the fake ones from the real ones these days) and some really deep dish rims. I was all like, :eek2: It look HELLA NICE!!!!!!

You want to throw the WRX on the bed and get it on?

You dont need a bed, just a lonely hill overlooking a lake with my WRX. With a bigger Titanium/aluminum/magnesium turbo, monster alcohol-cooled intercooler, wicked cams, forged crank/pistons/rods, new high-flow heads, underdrive pulleys, roller everything, high-flow air intake, K&N filter, headers, high-flow cat and exhause, slammed about 2.5 inches, 18 inch gold BBS wheels, body kit, rear wing, huge front splitter and spoiler, etc, etc, etc.

ummm, actually, slamming a WRX would be a very bad idea. in fact fucking with the WRX suspension in any way other than upgrading to STI spec is probably going to do more harm than good... everything else seemed pretty cool though

i see what you are saying, but tell that to the rally team...
they slam em for the tarmac races...
and yes, it still has lotsa travel, but they do slam em reeeediculously low for the tarmac races... so its not a bad idea... and seeing as how few to none of the wrx owners in the US are gonna go offroad, dropping it aint so bad...
and yeah i would drop it with a nice coilover setup...

If I bought a WRX, I would make it a point to drive off-road as much as possible. :D

i would too... but more on gravel or fairly smooth off roading to take advantage of the awd...
not unlike a snow covered parking lot... awd donuts are fun!!:licker:

My WRX wont be in the Safari rally. It would be tarmac, gravel and snow. So slamming would be fine. I would keep the original parts, incase I needed them for something else.:)
