okay ive found a place that will custom make my y pipe so i dont have to get the edelbrock headers, have any off u guys ever used hooker headers or headman headers. also did u have to fab anything like the ac braket like it says u might have too. what gaskets are good ones to use im sure the little paper ones that come w/ them suck and should i sand off the paint and coat it w/ high temp paint because i dont want to buy the ceramic coated ones thanx in advance

i use flowtech full length they work very well but tight. 1 5/8 tubes 3" collector..lowering the car becomes an issue with them tho cuz well there low...

steer away from pacesetter. other than that i think you are on the right track, get better gaskets and coat em in something. it will save you in the long end.

YES!...STAY AWAY FROM PACESETTER!...BUNCH OF JUNK...high temp paint doesn't work either, everybody is going to tell you get ceramic get ceramic, its more expensive but you probably should, on my last set i paid 50 to have mine sandblasted and then i high temp painted them (1500 degree paint) and it all burned off in less than a week. but on this set i just said fuck it and put them on with nothing on there cause i drive it everyday, and they aint rustin yet...knock on wood

i got a high temp silicone spay on coating from summit and its worked great so far. the thing about the high temp stuff is that you have to bake it in an oven to actually get the full effect. if you dont bake it, the stuff is only heat resistant up to like 500 degrees...

is the high temp paint really that shitty? goddamnit i put that 1200 degree stuff on my headers, so i could skip out on coating them... i don't want to take that stuff off again...
