Danno SS versus me

Well I knew going into this i'd get killed, but I figured what the heck. Our original plan was to run from both a roll and a dig. We only ran from a roll though, as whether conditions, not to mention traffic conditions, stopped my progress. So we ran them from a dig. I took Danno to San Fernando Road (A road that use to play host to the old illegal races, but since the new law has kicked in, no one races there anywhere near as much as they did before).
First run:
I'm holding my rpms to about 2500-3000 rpms. Danno honks the horn 3 times and nails his launch. I, however, cannot hook worth a bean. I almost ran into his sled, which scared Danno. I think I took up both lanes (Wow if I hit Matty's 240 I might just win without having to worry about him gaining up :biggrin: ) He got one car length on me from the first, and my second gear didn't yield any ground being made up. He actually put another half car length on me. By third my car started to make up ground. It was just a few inches though, as he was still over a car and a half ahead.
Second run:
Once again I didn't grip (I think his drag radials hook better, even if they are not heated up). He didn't have as substantial a lead as last time, but it was ugly enough to let me know that suspension mods are on my to do list. I was about a half car length away from his bumper. Oh well. I know i'd do alot better from a roll, and knew i'd lose from a dig to begin with. I'm sure Danno will chime in :)

If your Trans-Am comes anywhere near my lane... I'll beat you within a inch of your life with a tire iron. :lol:

Current status is that I get my flywheel in by wensday, so hopefully for the holiday (thanksgiving) I'll be driving around on a fresh clutch and flywheel.

Soon after, I'll take ya on buddy. :thumbsup:

I forgot to mention, not to start the ford versus chevy argument, but there were alot of pussy mustang owners on the road. Danno and I came across the following cars, and none of them would bite, no matter how hard we tried: 03/04 Mach 1, 99+ Cobra, 05 Mustang GT. I'm seriously disappointed in the mustang camp, as I use to see them as fearless.

They fear the LS1.

If I had this car (which would have had to be bought in like past month) I too would not be racing a car that isnt broken in yet. As for all mustang owners being pussies, some not all.

first thing the t/a ws6 is not turbo its supercharged, and second i would love to take any stang or z28 on i have only ran into one v8 that has given me a problem and it was a 81 t/a.

Ummm... No Trans Am WS6 has ever come supercharged or turbocharged from the factory.

Unless you count the 1981 Trans Am Turbo, and the 1989? Trans Am GTA...

But the '81 Turbo was slow as mud.

The 1989 was never called the turbo GTA. Even though it is a GTA in all respects, nowhere on the car does it mention GTA. It is just a turbo trans am and they where considerd a WS6. My uncle has one. Got pics if ya want them.
