I am not worried about limiters, they can be taken off, all I want to know is how fast can the Tranny push the car reguardless of engine, I want to know the Tranny's Max speed. And... it would be the RS or GS

The GSX should be gear limited to about 160-170. I would expect the FWD to be over 170-180 based on some quick math that I probably screwed up. www.vfaq.com lists the gear ratios. This will also be dependant on tire size of course. If someone has the time they could run through the numbers and come up with the answer.

Shit, now I'm curious. Too bad you didnt mention if your car was a turbo front wheel drive eclipse or not. Now I have to do all 3.
Alright, turbo MT 1g/2g AWD.
5th gear ratio of .666, final drive of 4.929, asumed tire size of 215/55/r17 with cirucmference of 82.66 inches and 790.57 revs per mile, red line 7500 rpm.
178 mph. More than I thought!
2g turbo MT FWD, same as above but 5th gear of .741 and final drive of 4.153. The vfaq actually doesnt give any MT/AT distinction for the FWD turbos, so this must be MT since a 5th gear is listed.
190 mph.
Same thing for NT 2g MT, 5th gear of .81, final of 3.94.
183 mph.
Now, stock tire size varies from model to model, so this is NOT an exact comparison between models. I used the tire size currently on my car in these examples. I'll give the math below in case anyone wants to figure it out on thier own.
MAX RPM divided by highest gear's ratio, divided by final drive ratio. This gives you wheel RPM.
Use an online tire calc to come up with tire circumference, typically given in inches.
Multiply tire rpm by tire circumference to get inches traveled per minute.
Divide by 12 to get feet per minute.
Multiply by 60 to get feet per hour.
Divide by 5280 (number of feet in a mile) to get mph.
So it looks like this:
RPM / top gear ratio / final drive ratio x tire circumference in inches / 12 x 60 / 5280
Punch it into the calc just like that.
You can also play with certain variables to see what the outcome is. For example, a 9500 rpm limit on the 2g MT AWD would raise top speed from 178 to 226 mph ;) You could also figure out top speed in 4th, since you never use 5th at the drag strip. Etc.

170-190 mph is REALLY fast guys. Can GS-T's really go that fast? I mean with like simple mods...or if some one was crazy enuf to MAX OUT to topend speed of a Gs-T?

That is gear limited top speed. It takes a shit load of power to overcome the wind resistance at those speeds. You would probably need at least 500 whp to get there in most cases. And another problem is that as you get to the rpm limit, airflow per rev is dropping off even on well moded cars, so power is dropping as you go faster (and need more). Etc.
