Busted!

Hey guys so I went to Philly last night with some diffrent boys not the bad ones...so we go to the club danced with some chicks until the place felt like it was packed with to many dudes so we bounced to the strip club on 61st. I raced once against a hatchback in my Accord (auto) Newayz that was a blow out I figured.....so I get in line to race again and everybody scrambles cops are coming so I leave and follow the pack of cars I didn't see any lights from my direction but when I looked up again there was lights behind me. It took me a while to pull over cause there was a sworm of cars around me but I slowly pulled to the side saying F*** about 100 times.....The cop is screaming at me "what the fuck is wrong with you kids Jesus!!"" Turn your car off" I give him the keys and all my information. I then tell him Im leaving for the Navy really soon and cant have this kind of stuff on my record because It will affect my payrate. As I give him my Military I.D. He is like I dont give a FUCK what your going in and keeps rambling. Im like okay he is an asshole Ill just keep my mouth shut. He runs my info and nothing comes up. He comes back to give me my info and I ask him what is going to happen he was like " Your going to pay a fine and there going to take your liscense away from you." I reply with Sir I dont know if I will able to leave with this on my record is there any way you can give me a break. Then on top of this he goes "Well maybe you dont need to join because there is a bunch of Motherfuckers over there gettin shot up." Yeah okay if this guy wasn't a cop I would of whooped his ass and his little SLut partner. Im bout to defend this country with 1.5million more kids and adults 375,000 in the navy and I got this dickhead bad mouthing us. I have respect for cops because of how hard there job is and people I know in the Fort Worth P.D. I hope this cop gets his fucking head blown off by a Drug Dealer and they never catch the man who did it. Im Sorry to whoever I offend but Im venting right now in a none pyshical way. So just hear me out. I get a ticket for Drag Raceing I dot know what Im going to do now I have to go talk to my recruiter I hope this isn't the end for me. Does anybody know what the fine-penalty for this offense is It would help me out a lot. Oh yeah I beat an 93 Accord on the way home from all this STICK hahaha.

They shouldn't keep you out of the military for this, it's just something we do as young people.

I know a guy that got caught stealing cars from a dealership, and they let him join the Army instead of going to jail. I guess he could be a better service to his country killing hethens then sitting in jail.

your recruiter has alot of power with the court system. Just ask your recruiter to come to your court date and speak for you. He should be able to get it dropped or reduced.

did they actually catch you racing someone or did they just assume it?

if he didn't catch you racing than, he cant give you a fine for it.
we used to get chased out of the spot we used to race at. but the cops were kinda cool, sometimes they would tell us to leave sometimes they would write tickets. but never for racing, only for emissions, registrations stuff like that. dumbest ticket I ever got was for pavement marking lol that was funny as hell! 35 bucks what a joke.
if they got ya racing than you would not have driven home, they impound your car at least here they do.

You don't get an ID until you get to Reception, the first week of Basic training.

2nd, having a ticket won't mess with your payrate, it just might postpone when you ship out, nothing else.

Look man, I'm in the Navy. You don't have to worry about a street racing ticket. The Navy doesn't care. Its not a serious charge. Even if it were, all you would have to do is sign a waiver. Also, how do you have a military ID? Have you already joined?

Just because u're in the Army doesn't mean you can get away with shit... its your own fault for racing, you can't blame anyone else... the cop was just doing his job...

Anyway, I doubt the Army would care about the ticket anyway, worst thing they'd do, probably not let you drive tanks or humvees or whatever... :lol:

Cause your going into the service you should be let off from breaking the law over someone who isn't. I have great respect for people in the service my dad was in the Air Force for 10 years and my Uncle for 20 but you need to seriously grow-up and take responsibility for what you did.

This wont affect your payrate. My best friend back home is AF Reserve and ROTC, and he got a ticket or two, and he hasn't gotten sh*t for it.

Also, I honsetly doubt even a Philly cop would say what he said. I used to live in Boston, and people there are the most irate assholes around, and cops never said sh*t like that to us.

Third, who do you know in Ft. Worth PD? I used to work out with a couple of their SWT guys. Some real bad asses. I know some of them that could bitch slap the Bass Security, and those guys are bad ass too.

I got a ticket a month before I went to Basic and all it did was it postponed my shipout date until after my courtdate. it has absolutely nothing to do with your payrate.

to answer the questions I wasn't racing but I was in line for it. The cop said it doesn't matter???? The ticket says drag racing on it and in the remarks it has a bunch of jibberish I cant make out. Um I already have an I.D. cuz I'm a dependent and I have my DEP card too which you get at MEPS.YOU DONT HAVE TO BE ACTIVE DUTY TO HAVE A MILITARY ID.. I got out of two speeding tickets for showing them my Military ID so why not try it then. It didn't work oh well guess Ill have to pay the 500$$ fine. That was my first racing ticket so I was worried and pissed. On top of all that My insurance is going to be fucking outrageous..!!!!!

'Drag Racing' isn't an actual ticket. Its either listed as 'Contest for Speed' or 'Compition of Speed'. It may also be listed as plain old 'Speeding'. But 'Drag Racing' especially if you were only lined up to, isn't an actual ticket. If you weren't racing, but hes saying you were, all you need to do in court is ask for a review of the in car video. Every squad car has one, and they are admisable as evidence.

Im going to scan the ticket tomarrow its says drag racing on it thanks for the advice!!! Im consider doing that depending if I can work out a deal or something. Yeah I raced another Accord on the way home on 130 south in Delran. I even had a perfect shift with my automatic it was great.

First off, each area has one MEPS, meaning, Marines, Army, AF and Navy go to the same place. Just so eveyrone knows, a Military ID is goverment posession. Unless you've take the second oath, you're not officially in the military. If you've taken the second oath, you officially belong to the Navy and they're not gonna let you do whatever you want.

It goes kind of like this. Let's say it's July now.

July - Sign up for Navy/Army/Marines to ship out in December
August - Go to MEPS for physical checkups and a few other things
August - 1st oath
...(you're still a civilian)
December - Go back to MEPS and do some more paperwork, 2nd oath and after you've taken the second oath, you ship out to Basic that same day. After the second oath, you belong to the U.S. Goverment.

After you arrive at Basic, you get your MILITARY ID, not when you're still a civilian. How dumb do you think the military is? You think they're just gonna give some little thug/e-thug wannabe a military ID so he can show off or street race and get out of it. You think they're gonna give you an ID just because you said "I'm in" but aren't officially in?

You're not even officially in the military until you take that second oath. You can still say "I don't wanna join" after taking the first one. You can pretty much say "fuck you" right before you sign the big pile of paperwork that your recruiter put together right before the second oath.

I do not know what the state rules are where you are but in Mass. You most definitely can get a ticket(actually criminal court summons) for Drag Racing. Drag Racing is in the Mass law regs as "Drag Racing" not "Contest of Speed" or "Competition of Speed". So every state it can vary.

Wow....this guy is full of shit. My dad was in the military for 30 years....and he's only gotten out of 3 tickets. That was when he was in uniform no less trying to get home. Showing them your military ID doesn't give you the right to speed.

Also, you can get a ticket for "Street Racing" but I don't think "Drag Racing" has any tickets.

One more thing....why...WHY would you street race on the way home and think nothing of it after getting a $500 dollar ticket? He pulled you over and you were racing putting people in danger...yourself, the other driver, and any pedestrian that could be walking around a corner. You don't get a brown military ID at MEPS, god you're full of shit. I worked the gate at the 101st dipshit, issuing passes. There's a Green, Brown and Blue military ID. Green is for Active duty enlisted, brown for dependets and blue is for officers and retired personell.

Most police off post will not care that you got a gay ass dependet ID. They see Active duty personell all the time and don't let them get away, why would they let a little kiddo like you get away with something because you're a son of someone on post? Gotcha. In Texas, there isnt an actual "Racing" or "Drag Racing" ticket, just the ones I listed. Plus, you can also get "Excesive Acceleration", "Attempting to Incite a Race", and my personal favorite "Vechicular Noise Violation"
