Um, I don't know anything definate about this...but I can tell you what I've personally heard.
From one person, I've heard that ANY modification can void your warranty...I specifically know people who have gotten in trouble for a CAI on a car they were leasing...so obviously the dealer takes this pretty seriously.
Also, I read awhile back on another forum of a guy who had gotten some engine work done at a dealership(I forget exactly what). He then put on an aftermarket BOV on his vr4. The dealership, made some huge error in putting his engine back together, and it got screwed up due to this error.
Now all of this was the dealer's fault, due to their negligence...yet they tried to blame it all on the BOV...which physically couldn't have had anything to do with the damage. Yet they still tried. Dealerships are bastards...I know, I used to work at one. They are out to make money and screw you, so any loophole or excuse they can find...they will exploit.
Your best bet is to specifically call your dealership, and get them to answer that specific question in regards to whatever mod you are interested in.
Also you can call mitsu headquarters if you have a problem with a specific dealership.
But personally, I don't trust any dealership, I have all negative stories...and no positives.

since mitsubishi has been in financial problem these past few years, they came out with a marketing strategy that is working thus far, and that is 10 year, 100,000 mile warrenty. starting with all of their 2004+ models. teir only stipulation is if you mod it, youvoid it. anything you do will void your warrenty.
