95 Accord EX....
116,XXX to date at time of break down
Unknown if related or not....for about a week before this happened at 2500 rpm at highway crusing speed the car would kind of hesitate and act like it was striving for gas, But the car was half a tank. It would kinda jerk a slight bit, barely noticrable to the average driver, but I am rather aware. It would last maybe 5-10 secs then go away.
now....
Driving I heard a klunking noise from the engine, all gauges were reading normal.... I pulled over and popped the hood to listen. I heard a pretty loud klunking from what sounded like in the engine, but cant say for sure.... It was a klunking/belt getting ready to break and clicking noise.....or a REALLY LOUD A$$ KNOCK I also listened to the exhaust note and it was smooth as a bell, no miss no sputtering.....Tried to drive further and the klunking/clicking noise just remained CONSTANT and the oil light lit up... At this point I slammed on the brakes and shut it off....So the knock now remained constant at all times and sounded terrible....and the oil lit being on I had it towed.....
Sounds like piston troubles..or maybe oil pump failure...just a few guess's.....ANYONE ELSE ?

My guess is you spun a bearing due to oil starvation. If that's the case, you might be really lucky or very unlucky. Only removing the oil pan will tell. That would explain the noise and the oil pressure loss. One thing that you could do is to drain the oil and run a magnet through it. If you get shavings stuck to the magnet, you'll most likely need machine work. If you don't, but you see metal flakes, chances are the bearings (which are made of bronze, brass, copper, etc) are toast but the block isn't damaged.
Another unlikely but possible option is that your timing belt was failing and slipped a tooth before it broke.
Either way, it shouldn't be run at all until you find out what's happening.

Just to put some end to the thread, I took it to a buddy of mines shop. We started going through possiblities and at this point it looks like I toasted the crankshaft bearing. So now proabably looking at swapping another f22 in there. Thanks for the help guys...
