ever since i swaped my motor, my car has been driving like crap first it had a pinging noise from the valve cover so i added an additive (CD2) from my local auto part store and stoped that. now my exhaust is making pinging/clunking noise and the whole exhaust is vabrating like crazy! and the performance really lags in 1st gear it clunks pops and barly accelerates, so i put a peice of paper to my tail pipe and it sucks it in then blows it out really fast  doesnt that mean theres maybe somthing wrong with my timming or valves?

(yes i bought a d15b SOHC Vtec motor a while back  BUT
my mom didnt know that if i put it in my 88 car it never will be able
to pass f@8%IN LAME #&$ SMOG check and SUPPOSEDLY if a cop stops me he will take MY CAR AWAY!?!? thats what my moms socalled mechanic friend told her, and since i was using his spot/tools i didnt have any authority to put that motor in :crying: so i had to go back to makoto motors and exchange it, now im stuck with this "JDM d15b" motor that was carbuerated but switched back to dpfi for
now :headshake: so all that trouble and time for pretty much the same performance as before :banghead:

sounds like u might have u'r cam-to-crank timing off, if it sucks in on the exhuast then blows out. do that test on the intake side too and see if u get the same result. if u do, then that's definitely u'r problem. a timing light will tell u if u'r ignition timing is off base w/ the flywheel. but it won't tell u if the cam is off time w/ the flywheel, since u can adjust the ignition timing indepentantly of the cam. if u changed the timing belt, or it was changed before u got it, then i'd double check that to see if that's the case. it could be off a tooth or two and that has been the problem of someone else here in these forums

timing was off, you bent your valves, take the head off and repair or replace as necessary, at best youll need some valves at worst you need a new head. sounds like you broke a valve OFF so you are probobly fucked. get a ZC.
