I am the CF master

well, not really but I finally figured it out, I used the CF creation method of one tut and applied it from the steps in another and it turned out really good, did the mirrors as well. thing is I then tried to sharpen it and throw in some blur to make it have the swirls you normally see when a car has it on. it still turned out pretty good but I didnt save it befroe that so its like that til I redo the hood which is really quick for me now.

but I have to shrink the pic so much to upload it loses its quality. its like 24 inches wide in its original form.

I also gave the "A" the cf treatment, attempted one peice lighting, shaved the body moulding (shadow looks weird but thats how the shadow is, its not me messing up) I also moled the bumper to the fender, put on some fog lights and gave it a blue wheel, I had the dash blue as well as blue/white front seats but didnt think they looked porportianate to each other so Im gonna have to spend more time on them. cool thing is this is actually my car so now I know what it will look like with a few of the things I had planned.

That doesnt look much like CF. Looks more like Spray painted. Check out Glacius' stuff, his CF looks real.

Mikes Right, CF is a little more high Gloss. Good approach none-the-less.

Try not to pattern over the hood emblem.

I didnt on the real one, but when the pic came out so shitty I wanted to show what it looked like in the beginning, and I hadnt saved before I had sharpened/dulled it so I had to start over, made the new hood and cropped around it so that I could upload it original size. and the CF emblem I did the first time, I masked the chrome ring and the chrome A so just the inside is CF and the chrome is untouched chrome.

also can someoen tell me how to use the clone stamp tool. I tried using it to select parts of the headlights to clone over the seams at fog/headlight and headlight/corner, also to attempt to put clear lenses in the mirriors but I tried the alt-click to select, I tried to lasso a part of the light and click it and drag, click and click where I wanted it, alt-click but couldnt figure it out, ive seen a couple tuts that used it but they jsut say use clone stamp and do this, not how to use it.http://files.automotiveforums.com/gallery/watermark.php?file=/503/12740cfhood1.jpg

The CF looks good. My PS must be fucked up because everytime I attempt CF it never turns out, oh well.. Keep working :thumbsup:

shit I knew I wasnt since the first post I made, also about the one-peice lights I made, i got em a bit better with the clone stamp tool, not perfect though, I gave up on it for now. I did get the LED onto the mirror though but I dont like them mirrors anyways, was just experimenting so I got rid of it.

and I do need to bring the distance of the twirl back some I think, so the CF wraps the shape of the hood better, I would have done it like the tutorial on this one site cuz they showed how to make the pattern wrap the hood scoop and bulges hella good but I couldnt get teh first step down cuz mine doesnt work like the site says so I went to a different spot to try and ended up combining 2 tutorials to get it.
