I had a fun experience on last Friday arvo.
On my way to my second job after a very shitty day at about 4:30pm.
Going along a major road (two lanes each way divided but not a highway) and noticed a black Rav4 come onto the road from a slip lane tailgating the car infront of her. I was in the right lane in medium traffic and doing approx 70k's ( 45mph). When the car in front of me passed her, she decided to change lanes while I was next to her. I expected it so I was already over and infront but now she was about a metre (3 foot) off my ass for about half a mile until we had to stop for a red light. I was way back from the front and couldn't quite make it to the right hand turn bay that I needed. She was almost touching me. When we got to the right hand turn bay, she was again almost touching me. So i got off and squeezed past making sure that I rubbed along her lovely 'not washed in awhile' black metallic painted bonnet and not so politely told her to get the fuck off my ass! She said shit and i said shit.
Anyway, we both turned right and I made sure that there was a car between us at all times going down the next section of road (about a mile long) and changed lanes according to traffic all the time controlling her position in relation to me. Next red light I go to pull up and she's behind me. I stop and suddenly get pushed forward about a metre. turn around and she's there still touching my rear tyre.
So i get off again and start a not so polite conversation and call 000 (911) while she reverses and drives off. Witness stop and give me their details and i go off to the police station.
Now although i had no damage, they are charging her with negligent driving and leaving the scene of an accident. If it goes to court it can apparenty get upgraded to a new charge in relation to road rage laws and she'll get a $5000 fine and loss of licence for a couple of years.
Certainly pays to get witness' and now i wish i had of dropped it on the side that already had minor damage. doh!

YOU JUST DONT F%*K AROUND LIKE THAT ON THE ROAD!
(yes, i realise those actions would be very hypocritical of the point im trying to make)

Wait... I kept losing track while thinking why didn't he make good use of his carbon/kevlar on the car/girl and buzz his Blade into the tarmac, hehe, but what I don't get is, so she hit your bike or something? Or she used the front of her car to push your wheels at a stopped light? Otherwise I don't get how she was leaving the scence of an accident? But reckless/care-less driving, hell yes. How'd you get people to be your witness? Most people here just drive off after witnessing an accident/incident, no one stops to wait. Btw, if she did use her car to push you, then I think she was using her car as a weapon, that could be considered as an attempted harm or murder or something. Glad you're ok!

i had been working flat out from 6:30 till 4:00 without food and only a bottle of powerade, so i felt very tired. no mood for anyones shit and didn't want a fight with anyone either. when she hit, it was a nudge. just hard enough to push forward without much damage. then she backed up and drove off. the witness' all stopped and got out to see if i was ok thinking the worst. even though she was a psycho, i'm glad some people still have common decency to stop and give their details as witness'.

see at times like that you wish you had a bat to bash her car and her face and there are alot of those type of ppl like those assholes that pull out infront of you and just decide that they wanna come in you ln and push you off da road they should just passs a law that gives you the right to driver bashing time for peeps like that. And really for us motorcyclists danger is higher for us because of these assholes.

I remember when I first started to ride...... South Florida... 1989
I had some trouble with tickets, my car insurance was going to be many dollars for the next few years and my friend was selling his FJ600. No mandatory insurance here in Florida for motorcycle.
I went and got the license endorsement to ride MC. I used it as steady transportation for the next 18 months.
Any how, I was new and green.... a rookie. I was aware that I am invisible and fully responsible for my own safety. I remember how sometimes a car would just change lanes right on top of me. I figured I would make an impression and teach those drivers that we were on the road too. So I would play the silly little horn for an embarrasing long time, I'd wave my arms and make a jesture or two. Let those clowns know that they put me in danger and would teach them to look more carefully and hopefully save some bikers life.
Sometimes the idiots would get hot at me for making such a scene and the road rage would ensue. I've had some even swerve towards me to show me who's boss. I started to carry. I felt that if they swerved at me that they were attacking me with DEADLY INTENT. And I had the right to defend myself. I would shoot back.
Now I really am a peace loving guy, and the last thing I wanted to do was kill someone. I figured that a few rounds through the radiator, battery, even just the hood and fender would then teach them not to screw with me. I even went so far as to practice to shoot while riding. Possibly a handy skill to have.
I came to my senses finally, never having to utilize my targeting skills on any motorist. (so far)
I came to realization that even though I was possibly in the right and my interpetation of "I feared bodily injury and possibly death" That my attempts to teach others about motorcycles on the road too, was infact, the catylst to the road rage.
Today, I ride defensivly. Lane position, driving into the side view mirrors, passing with due haste, always looking for the unexpected, anticipating others actions....... I never, ever try to teach the lesson. If a car invades my space, Its my fault. because I didnt anticipate it.
Back in the day I'd agree with all of you......Drag that stupid (Cant' Understand Normal Thinking) bitch out and slap her silly. **read the caps**
Today I read the above story and say that I'd have just stayed on high alert until I could find a safety zone. I'd have pulled over and let her go away. If at the light she was going my way..... again, just let her go kill herself by herself.....Stay cool, Do your job to protect yourself....

very good point but i ride around dc and these mf'ers are crazy and i know everytime i go out that i might not come home but thats a risk i take but when ppl just be uncaring for us on bikes is just not right hit me in a car ill take my chance hit me on a bike in th dc area im dead if the fall off and smacking the wall dosent kill me the hundreds of cars behind me will. Im a laid back person and it takes alot to piss me off but to endager my life because u dont pay attention or take that 1 sec to look at ur blind spot is fawking dumb so of course ima get P.O its more due to ignorance. But yelling beeping the horn type of shit is just to pound the point in the lil pessy as* head. But yes we as riders must always anticapate(cant spell) their move as we do when we are in a car but even more awareness is need on a bike and if you ride you know this. This is what we get for sharing the road with motorists. I always anticpate there move and based off there movement there next move ur head and eyes should never stay in one direction. its kinda like any sport acess the situation react and during the reaction start to acess again and continue to do this.

although carrying a gun would be the ultimate revenge, i'm not fond of jail. we can't do that shit down here.
anyway, she wanted to hit me. plain and simple. she wanted to get past by any means just to control the situation and possibly endanger me further and didn't care for anyone else on the road. by me staying in front and controlling the traffic around me, i created a safety buffer around me of normal safe drivers. when we came to the traffic already stopped for a red light she decided to hit me. no accident. now she can pay the penalty as per our new road rage laws.

Well I haven't had to do anything in a long while, but I would simply kick their nice little car door with my riding boot or just try my best to break their passenger side mirror and then get lost. Normally I'm a laid back kind of guy, and I do agree that if you retaliate with aggression, some other rider might be a victim. Some car drivers just hate motorcycle riders and that's all there is to it. I've been in traffic, splitting lanes, safely, when a car driver, just ahead of me decided to try to push me in a manner trying to prevent me from passing. He must have been jealous that he was stuck in traffic and I was moving along....his mirror ended up on the road for that one. Maybe he should ask himself, "Was that dumb ass move I did to that motorcycle rider really worth a new mirror?" Maybe some other motorcycle rider did him wrong somewhere down the line and decided to take it out on me. Whatever the case is, it's an on going problem. When I ride, even when I drive, I firmly believe that ALL drivers a F'n Idiots. Keeping that in mind, I stay safer and I'm always looking for the next guy who's going to cut me off.

I had a little incident last summer. I had volunteered to work a weekend night shift rewinding a generator at one of our Hydro-Plants. I live about 30 miles from the hydro station and when it's nice I alway's ride. I'm tooling along at about 50mph in a 45 zone and suddlenly hear road noise. I look in my rv and there is this bitch in a 4 wheeler about 4'-5' of my a**end. I motion for her to back off (not offensively) so she backs off about 10'. I give her another gesture (not offensively) nad she closes the gap again. The next gesture was indeed offensive. She stays glued there. There was a quick-stop just ahead so I hit the turning lane to let her pass. I stopped in the turning lane and she stopped in the travel lane stopping traffic flanking me. I busted off again and got a little distance on her and she got caught at a light before catching up. I thought of approaching her but then again figured she could accuse me of assaulting her, so I let it go.
