wtf are you talking about....???..U can get a pre-Fox Mustang for around under 5 grand.....The big intake thingies your talking about is called a blower and are featured in late 60's Muscle cars..they were used to cram more air into the Carbureator......MOst late 60's Mustangs had the more potent V8's in them and if you happen to get the I-4 or V-6 it wont be much to swap it out and then you can look around for the legendary Cobra-jet or if your feeling crazy you can dump the new supercharged 4.6L from the 03-04 Cobra

You mean inline 6. Yes you can swap a 6 for an 8, just have to change motor mounts a little bit. Roots blowers tend to run a little better that $2k, or you can go wild and spend a small war pention on them.
I'm sure the 4.6 would work. It would just take a lot of time, money, and patience.

Also a blower may not be was he is talking about. Look at your BOSS 351 and 429 cars with the scoops. Are you talking about a scoop and calling it an air intake? Are you talking about a shaker hood such as a Mach 1? More info plz.

Sounds like a tunnel ram manifold to me...

60s mustangs never had I4s or V6s, inline 6s an v8s only. As for 'things stickin through the hood', if you just want the look, get a tunnel ram. Looks better than a roots blower IMHO, and a lot cheaper. Try $300 for the manifold vs $2500 for the blower setup.
Roots blowers don't blow air through the carb, they suck air through the carbs then compress it.
As for a 4.6, don't do it. It is a LOT of work. Nothing will fit without modification - engine has different motor mounts and is very wide. It'd probably require a coil over conversion on the front(well over $2000 if you do all the modifications yourself, and its pretty difficult fabrication). You'd have to have an entirely custom exhaust made/make it yourself. Custom transmission mounts and linkages would be required, custom length driveshaft, etc. My friend is putting a turbocharged 4.6 into his '68 - it isn't easy.
Swapping a 6 out for an 8 that'll fit easily(289, 302w/c, 351w/c, or any FE(352, 390, 410, 427, 428, etc) will all fit) is pretty simple. New motor mounts and trans is all thats needed, and the trans will drop right in. 429/460 will fit with notched shock towers, which is a pretty simple mod if you are decent with metal fabrication and a welder. Plenty of tutorial sites are out there for this mod. I personally recommend a small block - they fit easily and make plenty of power. I prefer clevelands(302c or 351c) over windsors, but both will make plenty of power. Especially if you want to run a tunnel ram, I'd recommend the C. 4v clevelands love revs, and thats what the tunnel ram is designed for.

Atleast someone knows that classic mustangs didnt come with 4's or v6's.

Also remember that yes any of these listed motors will fit. But I would suggest a '67 or later unless you are very handy under the hood. I'm swaping a 200 I6 for a 351w in my '66 and beleave me, '64-'66 were not made for the taller deck/wider heads. Engine swap headers are made for '64-'66 cars with 351's but they are not cheap. Regular sbf headers will more than likely run into the shock towers in the pre-351 cars. I think it was somewhere around $650 for Hooker Super Comp LT's for the swap. Also remember the shock towers should be 44" apart.

Yeah forgot to mention that, the 64.5-66s are a bit tight. I know several people who have fit a cleveland in them, though its close.
