I just purchased a 2000 Taurus SES. The seller didn't have the keyless remote.
Is this car set up for this? If so, how can I obtain a keyless remote.
Thanks!

A for dealer can run your serial number and tell you if your car is set up for this. Or got to www.keylessremotes.com and try them.

I purchased a second key and a keyless remote from my dealer a couple weeks ago...(ain't cheap)...the key was $25 plus $70 programming fee..
the remote was an additional $35 ...They said that I would not have to pay a programming fee for the remote because they were programming the key at the same time...so you may be looking at a $70 programming fee as well.....There may be a less expensive source but Locksmiths here referred me to the dealer.

i bought a second remote for my wife on ebay for $11.00 (somewhere south of $20.00 with shipping) and it came with programming instructions. the programming was so simple it took all of about 10-15 seconds. the guy was very reputable, i think his name was "Dr.keyfob" or something like that. works like a charm, has for 2 years now!

Many thanks! I called the dealer, and, unfortunately, this car doesn't have the keyless entry option.
