Brake lights not working

The fuse is not blown and the brake light on the cab is working. This happened after I hooked up to a trailer with trailer lights. There must have been a short in the trailer wiring, it blew the blinker fuse but not the fuse for the brake light.
Any guidance on this will be appreciated.

if it blew the turn signal fuse, your problem is going to be in the turn signal switch most likely.

I replaced the turn signal fuse, they work now. The brake light fuse is not blown and the brake light on the cab does work.
I will check the bulbs today, the taillights and blinkers work. I had assumed that they are the same bulbs as the brake lights. Am I wrong on this?

if your turn signals work, then the bulbs are good. They use the same bulb. Check the turnsignal switch....everything runs through it.
