97 Accored SE SHUTDOWN???

what could cause my car to just die as i was driving? NO noise no sound just shutdown.... I came from a dead stop hit the gas went about 10 feet then went to accelerate again and as soon as i hit the gas POOF it cut off. I drifted, put it in nutruel truned the key and it cranked but would not turn over. I parked it went and changed the spark plugs and wires now i cannot get it to crank, i get not a sound as i try to turn it over. I do have power to the radio and lights, i have checked all the fuses and wires everything is connected. I have gas and have tried a hot shot. I posted this once but i think that this one makes a bit more sense so i wanted to try and post it again. Thanks in advance

My car kind of did the same thing. When I drove it, it just started to die as in it would turn itself off. When I restarted it, I'd turn the key all the way to get it started but then it would die when the key rolled back one knotch. I hope you understand what I mean. Try to turn the key all the way and leave it all the way. If the Car runs with the key all the way but dies when you let go. It's the ignition switch. Hope that's what it is because if it's not then you may have a bigger problem.

If it's not that, I'm guessing that you blew your motor. My wife once blew her motor in her 97 accord SE. The oil light refused to turn on and poof it died. Check your oil to see if you have any left.

Mine did the same thing once - it was the timeing belt.... have you had it replaced? I suggest replacing belt and fuel pump if you have not done so - trust me! Hope this helps......
